Q: Why do I drop items when I die trying to retrieve my corpse?
A: If your character dies while you already have a corpse in the game, your character will not leave another corpse. Instead, your items will drop to the ground. If you quit the game, those items will be lost for good. You cannot generate a new corpse until your first one is completely looted.

Q: Why isn't the gold I lost when I died next to my corpse when I enter a new game?
A: If you quit a game before retrieving your corpse and your lost gold, the next game you enter will automatically place your corpse in town. However, the gold you dropped will be lost forever.

Q: My corpse is surrounded by powerful monsters, and I can't get close enough to loot it. Are my items gone for good?
A: No. If you exit the game and create a new one, your corpse, and all its items, will follow you to the new game. It will appear in town near the location where your Town Portals open.
