I'm seeing strange symbols/letters in chat
The strange characters that you see are actually characters from a different language. Battle.net provides a method to access users from all countries, regardless of your physical location in the world. Battle.net attempts to determine the location where you will receive the best possible game play experience. Once that location has been determined, it automatically assigns you to channels that have similar users online.
